This series consists of two audio tapes capturing the New York State Senate debate upon a proposed amendment to the state constitution barring discrimination on the grounds of sex. The debate, which took place on May 21, 1975, culminated in the Senate's approval of the proposed amendment.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
