This series consists of two audio tape recordings of the May 21, 1975 New York Senate debate regarding a proposed amendment
to the state constitution barring sex discrimination. The debate culminated in the Senate's approval of the proposed amendment.
However, the amendment, which was placed on the ballot in November 1975, was rejected by the electorate.
