Summary:
Annual financial reports of counties are generated pursuant to the General Municipal Law. That law states that every municipal
corporation shall annually make a report of its financial condition to the state comptroller, and that such reports shall
be made by the chief fiscal officer of the municipal corporation. Each report in this series contains a statement of the financial
transactions of the county, and is broken down according to type of funds (general, special revenue, capital, construction,
etc.).
